In May 2014 I successfully completed the 4 year Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy at the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy. I achieved my clinical endorsement in May 2012 and have been seeing clients since September 2012. I have a natural desire to understand my clients and their unique issues, and my open and friendly approach puts people at ease. I am very empathic, and can be both nurturing and challenging to help people move forward with their lives.
I am a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and have full indemnity insurance with the Psychologists Protection Society. I am in regular supervision with a highly qualified TSTA/CTA practitioner to ensure the safety, quality and effectiveness of my work.
I live in North Manchester with my husband and two children. I first discovered psychotherapy 15 years ago when I needed help with my own life, and have personal experience of both individual and group therapy. I am extremely proud of my therapy journey and although at times challenging, have found it very rewarding and life changing. The supportive and non-judgemental environment of therapy has allowed me to untangle my thoughts, reveal unhelpful patterns, and discover my own truths. Ultimately therapy has helped me to make the necessary changes to my own life, and empowered me to strive to realise my potential. I feel excited to now be in a position where I can help others to bring about change in their own lives.
